| 1924 | With CHF 1000 start-up capital and one screw-cutting lathe Heinrich Landert and his school friend Rudolf Weber form the company “Landert & Weber, Technical Laboratory”. Rudolf Weber later leaves the company and Landert Motoren AG is formed. |
| 1951 | The TORMAX Division starts operations First production of automatic door drives in Europe Installation of the first electro-hydraulic swing door drive in Switzerland. |
| 1963 | Invention of electro-hydraulic automatic sliding door drives: Landert Motoren sets a new standard. |
| 1976 | First introduction of the TORMAX range into the Australian market. |
| 1981 | For the first time over 10,000 TORMAX door drives are sold in a year. |
| 1983 | The TORMAX TF STAR sliding door drive is launched in the market and is a success due to its extremely compact dimensions. |
| 1991 | Introduction of the intelligent TCP processor control system – a revolutionary invention by TORMAX. |
| 1993 | Introduction of the TORMAX UNINET door management system with which automatic doors can be easily integrated into building management systems. |
| 2001 | TORMAX AUSTRALIA is formed in Victoria, AUSTRALIA. |
| 2003 | The TORMAX product range is extended by the intelligent Smart Drive 1101 swing door drive. |
| 2004 | The intelligent sliding door drive Win Drive 2201 is launched. |
| 2006 | The under-floor swing door drive Power Drive 1401, an invisible under-floor drive, is launched in the market. |
| 2008 | Global launch by TORMAX of the new iMotion product generation with which automatic doors can be operated with increased intelligence and ease. iMotion includes all door systems for internal and external use. Power Drive 1401 is developed further to become iMotion 1401. |
